Three new thermal scanners are in use at Dubai International Airport since the beginning of May.
They are screening passengers for symptoms of swine flu at the arrival lounges of Terminals 1 and 3.
There are also special precautions and paramedics prepared to deal with any suspected cases.
The Ministry of Health earlier announced that there is no swine flu in UAE, but the whole situation is under constant monitoring.
‘The move [scanners installing] comes as part of the UAE’s strategy to put all safety measures in place against the deadly disease,’ said Minister of Health Humaid Al Qutami.
Besides Mexico and United States, the reports confirm swine flu cases in Hong Kong, Ireland and Canada.
